Obtaining Membership
To become a member of INTERFON international civil servants, French and Swiss national or regional civil servants have to provide a written proof of employment from their employer.
After payment of a membership fee of 20 Euros (5 of which represent a social contribution) you will receive a membership card.
This card is issued on a strictly personal basis and is only to be used by the member, his or her spouse and dependent members of his/her family.

It cannot be used by a third party
The holder of the membership card must take responsibility for all transactions entered into
The membership card must be presented when purchasing or ordering -
Conditions of Membership
Those eligible for membership of INTERFON are:
- All international civil servants
- All civil servants of CERN member states
- All French or Swiss civil servants in the Geneva Lake area
- All those seconded from a university and working for an international organisation
- All retired civil servants from the above-mentioned categories
- The spouses of deceased civil servants as long as they have a new request for membership
- The companies in partnership with INTERFON
- The staff of INTERFON -
How to use your Membership Card?
Your membership card must be shown at the cash desk of the shop where you make your purchase. This means you do not have to pay immediately (except at "La Boîte à Outils" - Intersport - Val'Décor, where reduction is deducted at the cash desk). Your bill will be sent to you by INTERFON, with the reduction reserved for its members, within about one month after your purchase. You then pay the bill immediately upon receipt either at our CERN office or that of the Technoparc, St. Genis-Pouilly in cash or by cheque made out to "Coopérative INTERFON", by bank transfer or by banking card.

What to do if you lose your membership card
You must advise the INTERFON office immediately either in person or by telephone and then send a confirmation of the loss by registered letter (lettre recommandée). INTERFON will immediately block the use of the card with its suppliers. You will get a temporary card with a new number before receiving your new card which is issued at a cost of 10 Euros.
This sum represents the administrative costs of blocking the lost card and issuing a new one.
